Business Onboarding
Before a business that's serviced by your POS can use Tippy, it must first be onboarded. If one business has multiple locations, all of its locations can use Tippy once the business has been onboarded.
Business Onboarding Flow#
The business owner logs into their Tippy Dashboard and navigates to
Integrations. They enable the app that corresponds to your POS system.
Once they've enabled the app, they will see an account token for your app.
They enter that token somewhere on your system.
You store the token in your database so that you can attach it when making request on the business's behalf.
Account Tokens#
Account tokens allow you to act on the behalf of the businesses when
interacting with the Tippy API. You'll have to store the account token
somewhere in your database and attach it to the request as accountToken
whenever you're making a request for a certain business.
You'll also have to provide a way for businesses to give you their account token. We recommend you add a form for inputting the account token wherever the business owner usually goes to update preferences for your POS.
